Why Hardpoint
The rental fleet of a national, the craft of a fabrication shop
Arizona’s container market splits cleanly in two: commodity renters who move boxes and never touch them, and boutique builders with beautiful work and no fleet. We are deliberately built to be both.
Statewide delivery
Same-day across the Phoenix metro, next-day to Tucson, Flagstaff, Prescott, and Yuma. We deliver where the job is, not just where it is convenient.
In-house modifications
Doors, windows, HVAC, electrical, insulation, partitions, roll-ups, plumbing. We cut and weld the steel ourselves rather than subbing it out and marking it up.
Built for the desert
Insulation specced for 115°F, not for a catalog photo. Roofing and snow load handled properly for Flagstaff and the White Mountains.

Answers
Arizona container questions, answered straight
The questions we actually get asked, answered without the sales gloss.
Rental pricing depends on size, condition, rental term, and how far the delivery runs from our yard. Month-to-month rentals cost more per month than a 12-month term, and a 40ft high cube costs more than a 20ft standard. Tell us your ZIP code and how long you need it and we will send exact pricing the same or next business day — no account signup, no runaround.
Most Phoenix-metro deliveries — Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Glendale, Tempe, and the West Valley — can be scheduled same-day or next-day depending on stock and truck availability. Tucson, Flagstaff, Prescott, and Yuma are typically next-day. Custom modified units depend on the build.
A tilt-bed truck needs roughly 100 feet of straight clearance to set a 40ft container and about 60 feet for a 20ft, plus about 14 feet of overhead clearance and a firm, reasonably level surface. Caliche and compacted desert ground work well. Soft sand, fresh landscaping, and irrigation lines do not. We walk the site constraints with you before the truck is dispatched, so nothing gets discovered at the gate.
It depends entirely on your city and what the container is for. A temporary construction-site storage container on an active job usually does not need its own permit. A permanent container structure, an occupied office, or anything with power and plumbing generally does. Casitas and ADUs always require permits and plan review. Zoning rules differ substantially between Phoenix, Tucson, Scottsdale, and unincorporated county land. We will tell you what we know for your jurisdiction, but the permitting authority is your city or county — always confirm with them.
One-trip containers are nearly new — built overseas, loaded once, and shipped to the US. They look the best and cost the most. Cargo-worthy containers are certified structurally sound for ocean shipping. Wind-and-water-tight containers are retired from shipping service but still keep weather out, which is all most storage and job-site use actually requires. As-is units are sold with known defects at the lowest price. For most Arizona storage, wind-and-water-tight is the honest value pick.
A bare steel container in Phoenix summer sun gets extremely hot inside — that is simple physics, and any supplier who tells you otherwise is selling you something. It is fine for tools, equipment, and materials that do not care. For anything you or your staff occupy, or anything heat-sensitive, you need insulation and HVAC, which is exactly what our modification shop does. We will spec a build for real Arizona summer conditions rather than pretending the problem away.
